• Did an Ultra-running event, the Long Mynd Hike.
  Placed 27= taking 11:25 to cover the 50 miles of hills. Results

• Jean's went to the annual BSES reunion.
• Bought my first suit!
• CamRacers team in 4 inns race. We won the George Keeling Trophy in a time of 09:24 for the fastest team that were all new to the event. 9th overall. A tragedy in the 1964 event lead to the setting up of the Peak District Mountain Rescue Organisation.
• Wendy and I won Mixed Pairs at SKINS 6 in the Peak event.
• Race Antarctica - clocking up 6000km of exercise in a team of 6. Events are weighted according to triathlon distances i.e 1km run is worth 4 km, 1km swim is worth 25.6 km, 1 km cycle = 1km. You can check our progress (The Kingfishers) with google earth here. You can also donate money if you wish. Our team was 2nd and I was highest scorer overall.
• Marshal at Birmingham Rat Race with Jean and her parents.
• A few unexpected days in the Falklands. Got to Volunteer Point but hurt my ribs on the way and therefore missed out on the High Peak Marathon.
• Jean took delivery of 2 ducks from RSPCA, but they both flew away!
• Back to Rothera on Jan 20th-Feb 29th for a MASIN season.
